Why Unhappy Men Can't Leave Their Wives

Getting a divorce is not as easy as it is perceived by many. Many unhappy men who want their relationship to end cannot do that because of a variety of reasons. Many factors including legal matters, money, feelings, children and other drama is now involved in a divorce, which is why unhappy men opt to be in a relationship rather than opting out of it.

Alimony

Alimony is one of the major reasons why men who are career oriented don't want to leave their wives. A divorce would mean that they have to incur extensive charges that might end up derailing their current finances.

Social Acceptance

Many people just don't want to leave their wife because of the fear of losing their social acceptance. This pastor, who is a family-like congregation, wouldn't want to leave his wife for an exotic dancer because of the fear of losing acceptance.

Loyal Father

Some men just don't want to see their kids unhappy. If it is the presence of both of them in a room that makes their kid happy, then they would prefer being unhappy themselves rather than bringing the plight upon their children.

One for the Kids

Good parents really do care about their children and their happiness. A good father would do all he can to ensure that the children remain happy and that they don't go through the ordeal of seeing their parents getting separated.

Religion

Many people are bound by the vows they made in church and the religious obligation that stops them from leaving their significant others. They would rather adhere to the teachings of the church rather than leaving their wife for their pleasure.

Unsure

Some men just live with certain flaws in marriage just because they feel that other women won't be attracted to them like their wife is. The general perception is that they won't be able to be in a relationship ever again.

Life Stability

Some unhappy men feel that they should stay put just because the divorce could cause an earthquake in their life that they wouldn't be able to manage. It does really suck to be stuck in such a situation where you have to choose between happiness and stability.

Missing Children

Other than concerns regarding the happiness of the children some men just don't want to leave their wife because they feel that they would miss their children a lot after it happens. They prefer their own unhappiness above the feeling of being without the children.

Too Expensive

Some men who are in love with another woman just don't want to leave their wife because they feel that the divorce would be too expensive to manage. The system is so flawed that they would rather opt for cheating than going for divorce.

Too Much Work

Besides just being too expensive, handling a divorce also requires too much effort. The visit to courts, getting an attorney and all the other legal complications are too much to handle for many, which is why they just live with their wife.

In Love with In-Laws

Some men are just so much in love with their in-laws that they would prefer not leaving their wife because the divorce could signal an end to the relation they currently have with their in-laws. Their love for the in-laws is greater than the hate for their wife.

Selfless Reasons

Some men might not really be in love with their wife, but they still value the support both of them get from each other. They could divorce their wife, but they prefer not to since the divorce could destroy the woman they once loved so much.

Good Person

Some men wish they could leave their wife, but just because she is such a good person they decide not to and linger on with the relation. They do realize that they're unhappy, but they don't want to bring grief to such a good person.

Support

Some men believe that leaving their wife would take away the support that she needs from them in life. They would never leave them regardless of how unhappy they are because they can't see them unhappy because of their own actions.
