Eminem is arguably a top-five rapper of all-time. He's defeated the odds of being the white guy in the hip-hop realm by creating good music and content for the entire world to appreciate. He's come a long way from the slums of Detroit to one of the most recognizable faces in music today and he's still making controversial music to this very day. Despite his struggles at the beginning of his life, Eminem is truly hip-hop royalty and respected by the masses.
What a lot of casual Eminem fans might not know is that Eminem almost lost his life via a methadone overdose in 2005. This is what Slim Shady had to say about his overdose experience, "My doctor told me the amount of methadone I'd taken was equivalent to shooting up four bags of heroin. Even when they told me I almost died, it didn't click." Praise the powers that be for keeping Em alive and well.
