Nikki Sixx

Nikki Sixx is amongst some of the greats in regards to the rock and roll genre as he was the bassist, a founding member, and writer in the band Motley Crue. Sixx wasn't only responsible for cranking out hits with his Motley Crue bandmates, he also co-wrote and/or produced music for bands like Meat Loaf, Drowning Pool, and the Sex Pistol's guitarist, Steve Jones. He's also written an autobiography centered around his struggles with drugs which ultimately almost took his life.

Nikki Sixx was actually declared dead for two minutes in 1987 after he overdosed on heroin. He claimed to have an out-of-body experience while technically dead but luckily, he was able to be resuscitated and has since then kicked his drug habit and is sober at the age of 57. The rock and roll legend continues to live on.
