Diane Kruger has starred in films like Troy, National Treasure alongside its sequel, Unknown, as well as the FX crime drama television series, The Bridge. Kruger also won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in the German film, In The Fade, which was also her first German-speaking role as well. Unfortunately, her acting role in Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds almost cost her life.
Tarantino wanted to achieve filming a realistic choking scene and proceeded to choke Kruger on film until she lost consciousness almost killing her. Tarantino didn't yell cut in time after the scene went too far and Kruger had to be revived on set. That had to be awkward for everyone involved and we're pretty sure the Tarantino/Kruger relationship is forever tainted because of the incident. Yikes.
