Hike the Half Dome in Yosemite, USA

Yosemite is a name that has been gaining in popularity in recent years, but for a different reason. Yosemite is how Apple named one of its Mac OS versions, but the name comes from the Yosemite National Park in California. The Half Dome is a granite dome found in the eastern end of Yosemite Valley. It is one of the most well-known rock formations in California, and it's named for its distinct shape and form.

The Half Dome is an exception hiking destination for anyone interested. The top, which is 4,737 ft. (that's about 1,444 m) high offers dramatic views of the entire Yosemite National Park. The view will render you speechless. As late as the 1870s, the Half Dome as described by explorers as perfectly inaccessible, due to its location and shape. The summit was conquered by George G. Anderson in October 1875.
