Sleep in an Igloo in Canada

Igloos are not found only in the freezing cold of the Arctic - you can see igloos (and even sleep in them - with some found even on AirBnB) in Canada as well. Most of Canada's igloos are found in the vast stretches of the tundra in northern Quebec. These shelters were built by Inuit elders, who carved snow blocks by hand in order to be able to have a place to call home.

Igloos are also called snow houses and snow huts because they were permanent residences of the people that lived in those cold parts of the world. An igloo cannot be built at any point time - the snow must be used at the time when it can easily be compacted, otherwise, no person would be strong enough to build a complete igloo without using advanced machinery.
