Just like Kentucky has the bourbon trail, so does Ireland has the oyster trail. People that are more interested in combing healthy living and travel will find this trail more interesting rather than the bourbon trail. The Galway International Oyster Festival is one of Ireland's longest running and greatest gourmet experiences. The event is meant as a celebration of the new oyster season.
Usually, in order to celebrate the new oyster season, participants are required to get a pint with a couple of oyster in every pub alongside the oyster trail. Luckily, this can be done within 72 hours, so you can strategically drink your pints during three days so that you don't drunk within the first few hours of visiting Ireland - not that there is anything bad in doing that.
