24. A Walk To Remember

Along with Little Women and My Girl, this is yet another tear jerker for the list. A Walk to Remember didn't really hit the big screen with great expectations. It was marketed as a girly film and it starred Mandy Moore, who was better known as a pop star at the time (not a serious actress). But boy, were we surprised. As it turns out, this girl can act, and most of us left the cinema with red eyes and used Kleenex in our hands.

Released in 2002, A Walk to Remember was based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name. Moore plays Jamie, a teenage cancer patient, who develops an unlikely friendship with the school's bad boy, Landon (played by Shane West). This is a Nicholas Sparks storyline we're talking about here, so, of course, everything ends in tragedy and everybody in the audience gets very sad.
