Gone with the Wind is one of the great love stories of our time. The main problem with the book is that it's just so darn big. You'd need a really long vacation to get through it all. Or just a year of gradual reading. Ain't nobody got time for that, so definitely watch the movie instead. Released in 1939, the film is set in Southern USA during the American Civil War.
Our main characters are Scarlett O'Hara (played by Vivien Leigh) and Rhett Butler (played by Clark Gable), but this is one long saga, so there are plenty of other people in the mix, too. To be totally honest with you, there's no way we can summarize everything that happens in just a few sentences, so we're just going to leave you with a recommendation instead: watch it!
