Susan Dey portrayed the character of Laurie Partridge for the entire series, between 1970 and 1974 (she was 17 years old when she started on the show). She was also known as a great beauty back in her heyday. All you have to do is just look at the pictures to see we're not exaggerating.
After The Partridge Family, Dey had a variety of television roles, but none that were very long term. That is, until she landed the role of Grace Van Owen on L.A. Law. She starred in the show from 1986 to 1992 and enjoyed much critical acclaim for her work. In 1988, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Grace Van Owen.
