She spent some time in hospital and then six weeks recovering at home before she was able to return to the film, insisting that she would do no more scenes involving fire. That was bad news for her stunt double Betty Danko, who suffered permanent scars to her legs when a pipe rigged to look like a broomstick exploded underneath her in a later scene.
