Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres

Ellen DeGeneres has arguably filled the void that Oprah Winfrey left after she left daytime television and is doing one hell of a job entertaining the masses. What many people forget about the television personality is that she was once a dedicated rising actress. Ellen DeGeneres has made appearances in shows and feature films like Will & Grace, The Love Letter, Dr. Dolittle, The Coneheads and of course the Finding Nemo series, and probably her hardest acting role starring in the movie Mr. Wrong [Google it].

Despite Ellen obviously being a woman, she shares a likeness with another historical legend by the name of Henry David Thoreau, who is a known American poet, essayist, philosopher, and abolitionist. Thoreau's essay 'Civil Disobedience' argued that disobedience was just in an unjust state which was used to combat the Fugitive Slave Law. Ellen Degeneres isn't in bad company when it comes to her doppelganger.
