Losing 15% means a whole lot more to that person than the person making $100,000. Some would say that an equal tax across the board is fair, but that's not truly fair. Fairness is putting all of the factors into consideration. That person taking in a $100 check should have to pay taxes, but not as much as the rich, that's all.
