Jimmi Hendrix at the Turntable

Jimmi Hendrix at the Turntable

Jimi Hendrix was a true rockstar. He helped define a specific electric guitar sound that would remain popular to this day. He was also an artist who would frequently smash his guitar after performances. That's something you can do when you sell millions of records. Someone like me can't exactly afford to smash a guitar after every performance. I do, however, smash my keyboard after every article I write.

Jimmi Hendrix taught himself the guitar, which is why he plays it upside down. He never had anyone tell him to do it differently. He got so good at playing upside down that there was no reason to switch it up. In the 70s he died of an apparent drug overdose. He had allegedly taken nine sleeping pills while drinking alcohol. That is a deadly combination.
