Early in her career she went by her true last name, "Wang," but had trouble booking roles. Once she changed it to Bennet (her father's first name), she started to book gigs. It's not Chloe Wang's fault that agents aren't supportive of Asian actors. If anything she snuck one by them and has proven a point. As an act of solidarity I will change my name from Childress to Wang. People can think that I'm Asian. I honestly can't tell if that's a helpful idea or not.
