Here's the good news about this photo. She's a pretty girl and the ball most likely hit the back of her head. That means she won't lose her good looks to a broken nose or broken teeth. That's very important when you work in broadcast, which it looks like she might (unless you're a pro-wrestler or one of those guys from Jackass). The bad news is that the ball hit the back of her head, which could be dead. Life is a trade off like that.
You have to hope she's OK after this, but assuming she made a full recovery, this is a great photo to show people. They say that a good picture tells a story. This picture definitely tells a story. It's a brutal story, but a very interesting one to say the least.
