Martin Sheen is a decorated actor who began his acting career in 1961 and is still booking some major roles to this very day at the age of 77. Sheen's leading role in the 1979 rendition of Apocalypse Now made him a household name while he's also been in feature films like The Amazing Spider-Man, The Departed, and also starred in the television series, The West Wing as President Josiah Bartlet.
Unfortunately, Sheen almost died while shooting his acclaimed film, Apocalypse Now, when he had a heart attack while on set. He was forced to crawl in the midst of the jungle in search for help. Luckily, he was able to find someone and get the aid he required. Sheen recovered in a couple of weeks and was able to finish filming the movie. Talk about being lucky.
