Many of you might recognize these devilishly handsome gentleman from the critically acclaimed soap opera, Dallas, where he played the role of a ruthless oil baron, J.R. Ewing. Larry Hagman also was a big part of the 1960s television sitcom I Dream of Jeannie and afterward became a huge supporting character in a number of other shows as well. Larry Hagman might not be with us today due to complications of acute myeloid leukemia, which took his life in 2012 but he's survived other close calls as well.
Back in 1995, Larry Hagman was on his deathbed due to liver failure after being diagnosed with liver cancer. Luckily, Hagman was able to receive a liver transplant right in the nick of time-saving him from certain death. His legacy in the acting realm will forever live on even though he is no longer with us. Rest in power.
