This was partially influenced by Scotland's bare hills, green glens, and silvery lochs which from the perfect conditions for making and enjoying the highly alcoholic and potent drink.
The Highlands themselves are a historic region of Scotland, home to many stories and epic battles. The area is sparsely populated, with no major cities in the vicinity, only smaller town and villages, which can be interesting to see. The area had higher population numbers, but with the industrial revolution, many people moved to the bigger cities in search of a better life. You definitely have to knock this off your bucket list.
