The Pennine Way is Britain's oldest and longest footpath, measuring around 270 miles (around 500 km) and lets travelers see some of England's most beautiful rural areas. While you are walking the path, you can stop at the many villages through which the path goes, meaning you can book hotels to rest and sleep, and buy food in restaurants and supermarkets.
Due to the length of the path, if you intend to walk all of it, it could take you a lot of time if you don't use any kind of motorized transportation. Most estimates say that travelers need around 3 weeks to pass the path on foot, so you should keep this figure in mind while planning your travel and budget. Expenses can easily rack in the thousands of pounds if you intend to sleep in hotels and eat in restaurants.
