Dick Vitale is one of the greatest sports broadcasters of all time. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about his head coaching stint in the NBA. Vitale was the head coach of the '78-79 Detroit Pistons and ended their season with a losing record of 30-52. The following season Vitale began the season 4-8 and was removed from the head coaching position. Luckily, he's found a home as the voice of college basketball and even holds the honor of being the Tampa Bay Buccaneers most famous fan.
Sadly, the Tampa Bay Bucs ended their season in last place of the NFC South division with a record of 5-11. There's a lot of confusion surrounding the team's performance as they're rarely mentioned in the limelight and mainstream media. The Bucs seem to not know whether they'll be moving forward with Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick at the starting quarterback position and it's become a major distraction. Maybe they can call on longtime fan, Dick Vitale, for some advice.
