It's not just Helen Hunt and Jodie Foster who get mistaken for each other among the higher end of Hollywood women. Meryl Streep and Glenn Close apparently suffer with the same problem. They have definite, striking similarities, and they probably get considered for the same parts when new films are written.
It doesn't seem to bother them, though. Streep was interviewed by the New York Times in 2012, and they directly asked her how she felt about it. She responded that the two had discussed it and were fine with it. They're big fans of each other, and also enjoy each other's movies. Isn't that lovely? Quickly, though, and without looking, can you say with certainty which one of them appeared in '101 Dalmatians' as Cruella de Vil? Want us to put you out of your misery? It was Close.
