I don't think the internet could have survived Beyonce being announced as Wonder Woman. Can you imagine how many think pieces there would be? It would be impossible to have a conversation with anyone without bringing it up. Beyonce is more than an entertainer at this point. She's American royalty. Honestly, as much as I love Beyonce, we don't need her acting anymore. Her previous forays into acting were not exactly great proofs of concept. It would also be very difficult for Beyonce to be seen as Wonder Woman and not as Beyonce. If anything they should make a superhero movie about Beyonce.
Gal Gadot did say she channeled Beyonce for her audition, so there will always be a little bit of the Beyonce spirit in Wonder Woman. Maybe that's why her body is so bootylicious.
