Famous for his portrayal of psychiatrist Dr. Niles Crane on NBC's sitcom "Frasier", David Pierce was born on April 3, 1959 in Saratoga Springs, New York. He is a graduate of Yale University. Upon completing his studies, he moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting. While pursuing his acting career, Pierce took on an assortment of jobs such as security guard, and retail salesman, selling ties at a Bloomingdale's store. It was during this time that he landed parts in theatre roles both on and off Broadway.
David Pierce has also provided voice talents for many popular animated films including Pixar's "A Bug's Life", and as Abe Sapien in the Guillermo del Toro flick "Hellboy".
