Born on November 25, 1971 in Hollywood, California, Applegate got an early start to her career, debuting in the 1979 film "Jaws of Satan" at only seven years of age.
Since the turn of the millennium, Applegate is best known for her iconic role as Ms. Veronica Corningstone in "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" (2004) and "Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues" (2013) alongside co-star Will Ferrell. She has also guest-starred in two episodes of "Friends" as Amy Green, sister to Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel Green, in seasons nine (2002) and ten (2003).
