Legally Blonde is a chick flick that will simply never get old, because it presents such a strong message for young women. Released in 2001, it also stars Luke Wilson and Selma Blair. The film was a critical and box office success and was even nominated for two Golden Globe Awards.
The plot follows seemingly ditzy sorority girl, Elle Woods, and her quest to get her high school boyfriend back by getting into Harvard. After being dumped for not being serious enough, she figures getting into Harvard will prove she's worth it. Along the way, she learns a lot about herself and realizes she's capable of much more than she previously thought. Oh, and there's a love story involved, too.
