I have to appreciate his gumption though, even if he is ruining the chances of there ever being a good movie based on these franchises. You'd think this one would be critically acclaimed considering it has Jason Statham, but this was still in his grey period where he wasn't a 100% box office draw, despite 'Driver' and 'Crank.' He was still an indie darling, though it feels like he was always a big action star. He's Dwayne the Rock Johnson level now. That's the level we all wish we were at.
