Wrestlers usually have over-the-top, larger-than-life personalities; exactly the kind of characters which inspire and excite others. Johnson has more than most, and has already translated his charisma in the ring to a hugely successful movie career.
Johnson has been asked about standing for President before and usually dismisses the suggestion with a smile and a joke. He's spoken at both the Democratic and Republican conventions before, though, and considers himself to be an independent. In short, he knows how to play to both sides of the gallery.
