Although we complain about maniac drivers on our roads, it's really not too bad in the western world. Every year, it's only 0.01% of the population who will find themselves in a fatal accident. Wear your seatbelt, get a good night's sleep, and avoid booze, and you'd have to be truly unlucky to be one of those victims.
On the other side of the world, it's a different story. Russia - where this photo was taken - has close to triple the amount of fatal car crashes per capita, thanks to situations like this. An unsecured load and driving far too close to the car in front of you and you'd be lucky to survive something like this. Add in some vodka and ignore your seatbelt, and you're definitely a goner.
