I love the premise of the First Annual Rock and Roll Celebrity Sports Classic. It was a sports competition show on prime time TV where different musical stars like Leif Garret, the Jackson 5, and Joan Jett would compete in sports against each other. It is such an absurd premise given that some of them may have no history in sports. If there is one thing I love, it is seeing people who are successful at one thing, totally suck at another thing.
There were some heavy hitters involved in the show, like The Commodores, ELO, Boston, Gladys Knight and the Pips, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Rod Stewart, Kenny Loggins, and Leif Garret. I would love to see something like this brought back. We have plenty of great musicians to include. Who wouldn't want to see Pitbull run the 400 yard dash against Justin Bieber?
