Grease is an all-time classic movie about the greaser era of teen culture. It has everything you would want in a movie about boy and girl gangs: singing, dancing, love, and drag racing. It is a Romeo and Juliet-esque tale about two people from different worlds falling in love. Just about everyone has heard the song, “Summer Nights.” That is just one of the many hit songs that musical theater geeks can't help but sing along to.
The movie stars John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John who couldn't have been hotter than in this era of movies. It was later followed up by Grease 2 which is an odd entry in the series. Grease 2 is a sort of commentary on gender roles. It stars Michelle Pfeiffer and isn't as universally loved as the first movie, but it has a huge cult following.
