It's hard to believe it has been a full 14 years since the first Harry Potter movie came into our lives. The cast of 10 and 11-year-olds is now all grown up, and some are looking pretty hot, if you want our honest opinion! It's been a long time since we followed Harry's first fascinating journey into the wizarding world and Hogwarts, but now we get to marvel at how much these kids have changed over the years. Some photos will shock you!
We all know her as the kooky Luna Lovegood, and we couldn't get enough of her mystical statements and pure loyalty to Harry's cause. The biggest shock here is how normal Evanna Lynch seems as an adult. Without a copy of the Quibbler and a faraway look on her face, we could barely recognize this beautiful young lady.
Better known as dorky Neville Longbottom, Matthew Lewis certainly won at puberty. His transformation is one of the most talked about on the internet - nobody can believe this nerdy kid turned into such a hottie! His amazing journey into an extremely good-looking man even spawned the term "Longbottoming" online.
Ron's little sister, Ginny Weasley, got herself into quite a lot of trouble for an adorable redhead. She almost brought He Who Must Not Be Named back to Hogwarts, after all. Now that's all in the past and Bonnie Wright has matured into a beautiful young woman. We bet she wouldn't be foolish enough to read Tom Riddle's diary a second time!
James and Oliver Phelps
The cheeky Weasley twins look like proper men with serious work to do! Known as the biggest pranksters at Hogwarts, these two are clearly not the natural redheads they seemed to be during all 8 Harry Potter films. They look so different, we would barely recognize them in the street if we passed them. We never would have pictured them with anything but red hair!
Anyone remember Percy Weasley, Ron's painfully annoying older brother? We do! It seems Chris Rankin hasn't shaken his love for all things acting - he is now the co-founder of a theater company and specializes in pantomime. He even had a stint as Production Coordinator on everyone's favorite British drama, Downtown Abbey. Rankin also took on the same role in the TV show, Atlantis.
He was the bad boy we all had a soft spot for, who ended up coming good in the end. This sneaky Slytherin ended up blossoming into a rather attractive man, and the good news is, he's still very much on the acting scene, so you can watch him shine as a seriously good-looking adult. We certainly wouldn't mind switching to the dark side for grown-up Draco!
This entry probably isn't entirely surprising, as anyone familiar with Hogwarts's favorite hot guy, Cedric Diggory, knows he went on to do big things. Now much better known for his role as moody vampire, Edward Cullen, Pattinson has certainly made a name for himself in the fantasy genre. Though he was already cute in Harry Potter, we think he has improved with age!
In what will go down as probably the worst date Hogwarts has ever seen, Padma Patil attended the Yule Ball with Ron Weasley. The result was cringeworthy and disastrous. Now Afshan Azad is a Bollywood bombshell that Ron Weasley could never ignore, even if he tried. Fingers crossed she has never had a bad date again!
We all remember when Oliver Wood, captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, gave first-year Harry Potter a chance to be Seeker, even though it was unprecedented at the time. We've come a long way since those days and now this Scottish hottie is a musician who still finds himself acting in a movie or TV show from time to time.
Lavender Brown is a Harry Potter constant who didn't really get her time to shine until the sixth installment, 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.' Infatuated with unlikely lover-boy, Ron Weasley, Lavender Brown relentlessly pursues him using a love potion. Now, Jessie Cave continues acting in the UK and has even made a name for herself as a comedian.
It was a long and frustrating game of cat and mouse between Cho Chang and Harry Potter. He even asked her to the Yule Ball in the fourth movie, only to be rejected for super stud, Cedric Diggory (played by Robert Pattinson). Katie Leung is still beautiful, and still pursuing an acting career, with a new TV show, 'One Child' coming soon.
We couldn't help but fall in love with the dorkiest first-year in Hogwarts's history, Colin Creevey. Simultaneously Harry Potter's most adorable and annoying fan, Creevey made a name for himself in 'Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets' when he is stunned by a giant basilisk snake. Now, Hugh Mitchell acts in British TV shows and plays in his band.
Dean Thomas played Quidditch alongside Harry Potter and eventually joined the resistance, Dumbledore's Army, to fight the good fight with all of our favorite characters. He has now blossomed into an unquestionably handsome man, and you may recognize him as Wes Gibbons from the Netflix sensation, 'How to Get Away with Murder.'
Known as Slytherin tough guy and sidekick to Draco Malfoy, Vincent Crabbe wasn't thought of as the sharpest tool in the shed. It seems Jamie Waylett took his bad boy image into the real world, as he has since been busted by police for cannabis possession, growing cannabis at home, carrying a knife, and possessing a Molotov cocktail.
Here he is, the man himself, the boy who lived. Daniel Radcliffe has come a long way since his first appearance as an 11-year-old Harry Potter. He has continued to be a major movie star, but he's also participated in smaller British productions for the love of acting. If you saw the pictures of his nude scenes in one of his stage productions, you'd know he has well and truly become an adult!
